I have been using this Windows desktop fine since this past December (2023). And starting last week, the mouse I had started lagging. So I tried a different mouse and that also started lagging on the computer. I have tried the following: Driver updates Windows 11 reinstall (with data save) Uninstalling mouse driver Updating Windows None of those worked. Any ideas would very much help! OK - new Windows update (2025-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050094) and it looks like MS have known about an issue all along! Let's see if it works.. Fixed: The mouse cursor might stutter when it moves across the screen. This occurs even when the system is not using a lot of resources.

Try turning off Window's animation effect - worked for me You just became my new favorite person. After all this time and all these answers, this one worked immediately . I could see the difference in movement as soon as the spinner stopped. No more hunting for just the right spot to grab a spreadsheet column/row... It's like a new machine. Holy... smoke. Thank you!

I had the issue and the problem disappeared when I downgraded to Win10. I'm certain it's got something to do with Win11.

Why has Microsoft not fixed this yet? So many people have this issue. It's not a hardware issue, too many people have it. Fix it!

Yes, I have it. For me, If I plug my mouse in to the USB, that is not use wireless, I'm fine.
