Mouse Stutter in Windows 11

I have been using this Windows desktop fine since this past December (2023). And starting last week, the mouse I had started lagging. So I tried a different mouse and that also started lagging on the computer.

I have tried the following:

  • Driver updates
  • Windows 11 reinstall (with data save)
  • Uninstalling mouse driver
  • Updating Windows

None of those worked. Any ideas would very much help!

EDIT: Plug a wired mouse into your computer

Why has Microsoft not fixed this yet? So many people have this issue. It's not a hardware issue, too many people have it. Fix it!

Yes, I have it. For me, If I plug my mouse in to the USB, that is not use wireless, I'm fine.

This has been driving me crazy for a very long time. I might have found the solution for my situation, I will have to evaluate for a couple of days with reboots, but thought I'd share it with the community in the meanwhile.

I have a Logitech M705 Wireless Mouse, and today I found, and installed, the latest firmware update from the link below.

    https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024847553-Download-M705-Marathon-Mouse

This can be applied for any brand of wireless mice - check your vendors website for firmware updates. Best of luck!

    Well, hallelujah!

I restarted my computer and now it's fine... it's so exasperating.

Hello all, I'm joining your "glitchy", "jumpy", "stuttery", and "won't-stay-on-the-sentence-you're-typing" mouse club! (I always wanted to be a mouseketeer!)

It just started for me after an update. I'm going to start the process. If you don't hear back, my laptop has more than likely taken an unscheduled flight through my kitchen window....

I guess I have tried everything by now.. From changing mouse pad to updating all drivers from USB to bluetooth to mouse.. Last was BIOS update. I have a hard time believing that Logitech marathon mouse m705 is not win 11 compliant.. That also happens with another wireless mouse (Articona cheap mouse). So thanks to MS, I will go back to the 90's and use a wired mouse ..
