Microsoft Sudoku not saving my daily challenge results

The reply was probably marked as unhelpful as this is clearly a bug in the app and not something that requires an individual support ticket.

My problem with this error (daily status not updating) began in Mid-March and no apparent solution. I tried an earlier suggestion about using app info to repair and reset. I uninstalled and re-installed. I moved the app to another drive and yet still my daily status does not update. I had a temporary reprieve where on the 17th of Mar my status was kept but 13th-16th and 18th, 19th do not seem to be recording. This is particularly annoying as I have been playing for years and ow this.

IMHO these are the probable culprits:

2024-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5035853)

2024-03 .NET 6.0.28 Update for x64 Client (KB5036450)

Update of Microsoft Sudoku

All were installed / updated on March 13th or March 14th (Sudoku) i.e. at the date the trouble started. The two W11 Updates are the prime candidates. I just tried to rescue the situation by re-installing Sudoku and erasing the cache which resulted in recognizing me again but not in saving the data.

I have the same problem. So i deleted the game, restarted the pc and then installed the game again. It seemed to work.

But now the problem is back. So did the same again, but this time it did not work
