Hello,

The 2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441) will not install on my Windows 10 laptop computer.

I get the following message There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070643) Retry

When I click on Retry it says its Installing-0% for a few minutes then Installed-100% and then I get Download Error (0x80070643) There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. Windows Update Troubleshooter could not fix this problem.

I'm not sure what to do, please help.

    Even the biggest software companies can run into difficult software glitches. As compensation for these difficulties, I suggest Microsoft roll back the October 14, 2025 date for the end of support of Windows 10 for one week for each week's delay of a security update. This will encourage them to do more testing on Security Updates before releasing them and give Windows 10 users a reprieve from having to switch to the Apple-like abortion that Windows 11 currently resembles.

    I used to think they just renamed files and re-upholstered their systems to sell more certificates and training, but it now appears to me that Microsoft is reverse-engineering the worst of iOS and incorporating the results into successive versions of Windows.

    Larry, like you, I am just another punter trying to get someone to acknowledge this NON-REMEDY attitude by, firstly MICROSOFT, & secondly by the MICROSOFT COMMUNITY SUPPORT...

    There is exactly no response whatsoever from any form of assistance from these "so-called" experts...

    They should be hanging their respective heads in utter shame!!!

    I continue to have the issues as indicated above ref. the 2024-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034441) will not install on my Windows 10 desktop computer. Does Microsoft have a remedy to this update? It has been weeks, and no microsoft update to this issue has been received. Please let me know what and when that will occur?

    Hi tntroy61, I have just downloaded & installed successfully KB5001716, but once again KB5034441 failed to install!!! That makes approximately 18 times it has tried to install & failed... The mind Boggles!!!

    Lester, you appear to be someone in the know about the community support system, but you have not answered one reply since ShaHin Sha ShajaHan1 , meanwhile a multitude of punters have lodged a complaint of some sort about the subject matter on this log...

    You were the one who told us to wait 7 days for MS to sort out the problem, so far NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE...

    Lester it is up to you to get more experienced help with this now, as you have, apparently, washed your hands of any further assistance... If it is beyond your support, then please pass it on to someone that CAN help or contact MS to get some action... Don't leave us floating in the ether with NO ACTION at all... Read all the latest emails & you will see the anger with no action...

    The people are getting angry, do something...
