Why do we, the users, have to go through all the hassle to remove something we hate and never asked for, and yet Microsoft, in all their infinite wisdom, can just add it without permission? MICROSOFT: Get a clue! We do not want your ****! We do NOT want to be force fed, just because you believe it is what everyone wants. You should have given people a choice! If you actually cared one iota about your customers, you would give them options instead of force feeding them over and over and over and over. Why do we always have to clean up your mess?
How do I delete copilot from my pc? I don't want it. I never asked for it. I hate it.

2025-01-21T09:47:22+00:00 I agree completely! No, it does NOT remove the stupid icon, and no matter how many times I turn off ALL of the settings in Options and everywhere else, that stupid CoPilot **** still comes on. I am so sick and tired of Microsoft ruling everything without asking! I wonder if they will ever figure out that we do despise dictators!

2025-01-22T06:28:43+00:00 I have Windows 10 still (tried 11 and didn't like it). I went to settings, typed in the search bar "add or remove program" then clicked on the link, scrolled down to "CoPilot and clicked on the three dots on the right hand side and chose "delete". I got the warning that it would also remove any associated information -- but I hadn't used the stupid AI and didn't intend to ever -- so I said delete everything. My laptop is still running beautifully.

2025-01-22T11:05:03+00:00 Alas. It held such promise. I did as you instructed and found "Microsoft Copilot" as a program (Windows 11) with the option to delete it. I did. Restarted. Opened Word for a blank document, and Copilot was STILL there. I am landlord to a tenant I never accepted who squats and refuses any eviction notice.
