If you move to OpenOffice you lose Visual Basic, AS I UNDERSTAND IT. I'm not positive. I have a lot of routines written in VB in Excel and that's the only reason I haven't switched. If you're considering switching to OpenOffice there is also Libre to consider.
How do I delete copilot from my pc? I don't want it. I never asked for it. I hate it.

2025-01-25T06:34:39+00:00 Thanks. I don't know if I can do that on my own, but yours is the most common sense answer I've read.
Today my WORD "toolbar" disappeared and was replaced by something worthless.

2025-01-24T20:43:52+00:00 Copilot may have a piece of its startup code in the kernel of the OS which will make it impossible to remove by the average user. The kernal is the layer between the hardware and the OS and is sometimes called the "core" which is written in assembly language and compiled to be executed by the computer hardware . I believe that Microsoft has made it possible for a user to prevent it from being invoked by individual applications. I was able to disable Copilot from startup from MS Word in Microsoft 365 which is provided in an earlier post. I have not found nor discovered any way of removing the copilot software.

2025-01-24T19:56:21+00:00 Considering moving to OppenOffice. Used it in the past and it is just fine. Best to cancel my Microsoft subscription and save a bundle plus have control over what software runs on my system. I do not want AI on my PC.

How do I remove this horror of a disk-space-waster?I subscribe to Microsoft Office for £104.99 every year including VAT.
Yet I cannot control what software I agree to have running on my PC?!I tried uninstalling Copilot but it pops up everywhere.
Please advise.
