windows update error (0x80070643) for kb5001716

Your instructions are junk. They don't work. My wife and I have HP workstations. This upgrade clearly does not work. Your average customer is not going here. They are just going to be pissed off. They will go to your vendor for support. You will cost the vendor money. Your vendor will be pissed off at you. Fix your code.

My wife and I upgraded our HP workstations to run win11. Very expensive mistake methinks.

I just encountered the same issue on my Windows 10 PC. The 2024-03 Update for KB5001716 installed successfully. Subsequent Windows Update checks are now showing a 2023-10 Update with the same KB5001716 that keeps failing. I'm struggling to understand this.

Also noting the 2023-10 Update for KB5001716 had been successfully installed previously (after having performed a full Windows reset on my PC).

I am so close to rolling Linux like I did during Vista.

Following these instructions precisely solved the issue on all 3 of my PCs with this issue.

The same with me. It seems that MS doesn't have a proper solution at all.
