I have this issue as the Update in question is 23-10 Version 22H2 x64 based Systems KB501716 and it failed with Error 0x80070643. (This is a 2023-10 and must be old, as I blocked that one, and now I downloaded 2024-03 KB5000176 with no problem.)

I'm confused!! Does anyone know what's going on?

It tries to install and fails when I check my windows updates, obviously. It says "There were some problems installing updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x80070643)"

I get the same thing, it's like the system tries to install the october version and it fails cause a newer version is installed.

I just hid the update with the windows update hider, it's just a stupid "update to windows 11" nag update anyway and im sure on next tuesdays patch it will be included in that.
