I've seen this error code on a lot of different systems and this fix has worked every time I see the recovery partition is at 500meg. Also it's worked for me on both GPT and MBR systems. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/kb5028997-instructions-to-manually-resize-your-partition-to-install-the-winre-update-400faa27-9343-461c-ada9-24c8229763bf

2024-05-28T07:28:39+00:00 It is just amazing - no incredulous, that Microsoft appear to just ignore it's, one would assume, valued customers on the error.

2024-04-11T20:28:25+00:00 To resolve this error, uninstall the older update installed in October 2023 and reinstall it again through this month's push of the KB5001716 update.
To uninstall the KB5001716 update, go into Settings > Apps, and under Apps & features, scroll down until you see the update, click on it, and then click on Uninstall.
Now, it will install just fine
