Windows 10 22h2 security update [KB5034441] fails to install with code: 0x80070643 problem was solved for me with reinstallation of Windows 10 using the Media Creation tool . Took about 5 hours . But the security update that has been giving everyone problems downloaded on the second try . I have , over the last 2 days , been checking for updates to see if it really worked and it appears in the control panel as downloaded . I want to thank that guy who suggested that fix . I did not do a clean install . I kept my files and apps

2024-06-04T01:45:53+00:00 sitrep: its been 7 months and this pesky update is still sitting on my update window and I haven't found a way to fix it that doesn't involve me cosplaying as an IT guy and messing with my settings. Has anyone been able to find a solution that doesn't involve modifying settings? Has microsoft put out an official statement regarding this update?

2024-05-11T18:29:29+00:00 Not according to the partition manager, which reports that my recovery partition is 100% free space, with a total volume of 509mb.
This is not a fix. Nor is it acceptable to blow my machine away because Microsoft can't make an update work correctly on existing machines.

2024-04-08T21:34:14+00:00 If you don't have a recovery partition and KB5034441 still fails, Windows RE is disabled. As you can't enable Windows RE on a BitLocker protected partition, you may have to create a recovery one. KB5034441 requires Windows RE enabled.
