How do I stop "Show news and interests on the taskbar" from turning on?

Whenever I turn off the "Show news and interests on the taskbar" setting, it eventually turns itself back on. While it is off, it works properly, disappearing from my taskbar. But then around 10 minutes later, it reappears on my taskbar with the setting being turned back on.

Please try to record the problem using the record button in the feedback hub. News and interest team may be able to diagnose this issue and return with suggestion.

2024-04-09T14:08:27+00:00 I figured out what the issue was. When I changed the setting, it kept changing it back because the registry wasn't being updated to match the changed setting. When I changed the registry value for the setting, it stopped changing back.
