How do I stop "Show news and interests on the taskbar" from turning on?

Whenever I turn off the "Show news and interests on the taskbar" setting, it eventually turns itself back on. While it is off, it works properly, disappearing from my taskbar. But then around 10 minutes later, it reappears on my taskbar with the setting being turned back on.

    I toggle off the news and interests and my use start full screen is off. The news and interests still comes back after about 10 minutes. Thanks.

    I figured out what the issue was. When I changed the setting, it kept changing it back because the registry wasn't being updated to match the changed setting. When I changed the registry value for the setting, it stopped changing back.

    I'm having the same issue, but I don't know how to change things in the registry and was hoping you might be able to tell me where to find it.

    I keep turning news and interests off and it keeps coming back on. I am ready to smash my computer or pick up a book and read in the sun instead. I want the choice to have it on or off. Before sometimes I would be ok with it being on sometimes - but now I am so sick of it turning on when I just turned it off, that I dont want anything it has to offer even if it is helpful or interesting. I want it off - gone - I don't need it. I can look up the things I am interested in myself.
