Hello, I want to disable the annoying and absurd on screen caps lock and num lock notification. I've looked into it and I've found that there are three ways this can be triggered with some application from a software driver. this is not the case as i have only the pre installed software applications. updated to the latest version of windows 11 home, 23H2 and latest drivers versions from win updater. in the display driver in my case the properties of the device do not show the tab where i could disable it this is not an option ease of access: here i also don't see the option to disable on screen caps lock notifications. I'm not using the on screen keyboard and the notifications keep appearing how can i disable this? its really annoying as i most of my work requires me to write emails and use caps lock and every time i do the on screen notification covers up my screen for a second but i cant find a way to disable it. i'm having the same problem and its driving me nuts. i accidentally pressed some sort of combination of keys while writing (i think?) and i enabled caps lock permanently for a bit, couldn't disable it, and the notification started popping up. now i can enable and disable caps lock normally but this notification is here. i don't know how to get rid of this I've tried everything. something of note, it disappears if i end the Tabtip.exe process, but it comes back a little bit after.

I also have this problem which began yesterday. Is it a recent update that caused it? I also thought it was me accidentally turning something on but if it's affecting more people, it's clearly a wider problem. I write for work and it is driving me insane to have a giant padlock appear on my screen every time I change to a captial letter. Grateful for help to disable. Going to Ease of access didn't get rid of it. Help!

hey guys. last night i talked to someone from Microsoft support; it seems directly related to HP. if you go into your task manager and end the HP system event utility task, it will stop. i would also disable it in startup. I'm gonna try contacting hp and telling them about it, the agent told me it seemed like a bug.

Uninstall the HP System Event Utility on Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, this will fix it permanently.
