Not only can't old device be removed BUT Windows keeps trying to use it.

I am flying Delta and it wants to scan passport but only tries to use old phone.

If I reset Link to Windows, it comes up and says linked to old phone. I need all traces of old phone removed and no way to do it

2-25-2025, come on MS fix this....there is no way to remove an old device on the desktop end if you didn't remove it on the phone end before you reset the phone for trade in or sold it. I just got a new phone, but DID NOT remove the device via the phone before hand. Now when I log into the desktop side of Phone Link the old phone is still there and only gives me the option to "Select" the phone, then it just sits there and tries to connect.

I want to remove the device from Phone Link, **** is this so difficult for a software company like Microsoft to understand and FIX??? It's 2025 Microsoft, not 1999!!!! This is a SECURITY problem, don't you get the MS? I'm so tired of companies like MS disregarding this BS and not taking any responsibility for their crappy software....I don't even see where I can uninstall/reinstall phone link on the desktop.
