how to remove the device on phone link? It only shows me the disable/enable button.

We all seem to have the same issue. In phone link there are old devices that have been factory defaulted and disposed of.

In version 1.24081.95.0 of Phone Link there is absolutely no way to remove an old device, you can add a new device or select a device, but there is no remove option.

On the Android & IOS devices page, there are devices lists, so nothing to remove.

The phone was traded into google weeks ago, there is no possible way to access the device. I had logged out and factory reset everything so there is no excuse for Phone Link holding onto it. This is infuriating that the phone will continue to be listed in perpetuity and feedback to Windows Insider's feedback hub about Phone Link on this issue has been ignored for years, with multiple reports already existing including one of mine. Oh well.

Thank you for taking the time to give a very good answer... for those who actually have the old device which I suspect in nearly all cases will not be the case if they're here asking about it. Just awful by Microsoft to remove the old option which was to remove it in app.

Wait, perhaps a downgrade to an older version of Link to Windows would work?!

I understand that you would like to remove the Previous devices that you have linked with the Phone Link application on Windows 11.

I have tested this from my end and followed the instructions from the Microsoft article below to successfully remove a device.
Unlink a device in the Phone Link-

In image 1, you might see two devices that I have linked.

In image 2, you might see the device (Realme c1) removed from the lists.

To remove the device successfully, I have followed the steps below (on both Android and Windows):

1. Opened (link to Windows) app downloaded, and selected settings (Gear icon on top right corner**)** on my Android device.
2. Select your Account (e-mail address) and click 'sign out'.
3. Once completed, go to this link https://account.microsoft.com/devices/android-ios to remove the device from your Microsoft account as well.
4. Once done, Reset the Phone Link app from the App settings and restart it again. The device should be removed completely from the lists.

Note: For Samsung devices, the application "Link to Windows" might be pre-installed, you will have to follow the instructions for "If you have the Link to Windows (pre-installed) app on your Android device:" from the above article to successfully remove the device.

But if you no longer have the older device to select Sign out, I think there are currently no available options or instructions to remove the device or if it's no longer active. I suggest submitting your feedback to Microsoft through the feedback hub (press the Windows key + F) to submit your feedback.

Yes, I have the same issue. And I can't get the pc to connect to the phone really an hindrance to productivity.

I'm in the exact same situation as you. Furious. And I can't get my phone to connect because it's still trying to use my pixel 8 which does not exist anymore and is of serious security risk! Someone else has that phone. And I handled it properly when I disconnected it from everything when factory reset it.

Unbelievable. This has been going on for most of the year!!

I should not be disallowed from using the helpful phone link app on my computer, just because I had the gall to buy a new phone!
