Windows 11 - Can't switch out of S mode

When I follow the steps in the Microsoft Store to try to switch out of S mode, all I get is a message:

"Something happened and we couldn't start the upgrade"

and a Try Again button.

    Trying this one now. Thank goodness I have fibre. 36 minutes downloading , installation in progress. Fingers very crossed!

    I'm very cross with Microsoft, contacted them yesterday, no reply!

    Well, whoever had that idea, thank you very much.

    I went with the ... recovery, fix problem using Windows Update.

    Download 36 minutes

    Install 95 minutes

    System, Activation, Leave S Mode 2 minutes

    IT WORKED!

    No thanks to Microsoft.

    Hi, when I try to do this I'm left with an error message

    "failed to start repair solution 0x800700aa"

    anyone else had this issue?
