Windows 11 - Can't switch out of S mode

When I follow the steps in the Microsoft Store to try to switch out of S mode, all I get is a message:

"Something happened and we couldn't start the upgrade"

and a Try Again button.

    I did manage after a lot of tryouts.

    Restart, several times.

    Other easy option is to format. I found it much more faster when this happens.

    How were you able to get the option to switch out of S mode. the app store only shows apps. ive followed similar steps and still given no option to opt out of s mode

    I did a factory reset and then I could remove it. Luckily I had downloaded anything or added any files to it yet, so I didn't have to re-download anything. Worked like a charm
