When I follow the steps in the Microsoft Store to try to switch out of S mode, all I get is a message:

"Something happened and we couldn't start the upgrade"

and a Try Again button.

Hello! I'm Jen, and I'd be happy to help you out with this issue.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue. Please make sure to install all Windows and Microsoft Store updates then try switching out of S mode again. If the problem remains, you can try resetting Microsoft store. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command window. Type wsreset.exe and click OK. Simply wait for the process to complete then open Microsoft store again to check if the issue is fixed . Let me know if this works. Thank you.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll be glad to assist you further.

    Best Regards!

    Jen :)
