Just wait 24 hours. For me it works. All the other things nope.
Windows 11 - Can't switch out of S mode
When I follow the steps in the Microsoft Store to try to switch out of S mode, all I get is a message:
"Something happened and we couldn't start the upgrade"
and a Try Again button.

2024-06-13T11:50:38+00:00 Maybe just DONT have S mode as default. If I've paid £600 for my PC I should be able to install whatever apps I like!!!

I understand your issue has been fixed. However, i am just replying to the main thread so others who are stuck can see this response. I had the same persistent issue in my Win 11 HP laptop. I looked at this forum and many others but nothing helped.
Finally, I fixed it on my own. The fix is -
(1) Reset the Windows 11 (clean installation)
(2) Obtain All the Windows Update
(3) Obtain All the MS Store update
(4) Restart the laptop
(5). Now, try getting out of the S Mode
NB: If you have personal files and data on your laptop, these need to be backed up Before the reset. I didn’t have to worry about it as I had a brand new laptop.
Thanks
