Windows 11 - Can't switch out of S mode

When I follow the steps in the Microsoft Store to try to switch out of S mode, all I get is a message:

"Something happened and we couldn't start the upgrade"

and a Try Again button.

    voltaireson belizaire thank you so much for your response. I did a wsreset.exe as well as stopping/starting the service. was the "wsreset" the reset which worked for you, or by any chance is there something else that can be reset?.

    None of these solutions work.

    I have just waited 1 day.

    After that I tried again and... worked.
