I've been repeatedly trying to install this update, but each time I try to launch the update, it will suddenly stop at 96% and tell me there was something wrong with the install and my PC files would return to the previous "un-updated" state.
I've tried every method I could easily find online (Removing all non-essential hardware, did clean boot into Windows, et cetera.), but none of them fixed the isue and I'm suspecting it's a deeper, less common issue.

2024-10-14T00:11:33+00:00 Glad they were able to help. Yeah, watching them use stuff that they have been using for decades, but we have no access to, is destressing, frustrating, and ridiculous. But remember the update I told you that you may have to uninstall? That's how they do it. Ridiculous!!!

2024-10-12T18:31:13+00:00 im having the same issues with my laptop. I tried manually installing the update but it error'd and said my computer wasnt compatible with windows 11 despite it coming pre installed with it.

That didn't work, but I finally got a response from a M$ Support agent. After an hour or so of trying everything I have already done, he downloaded an iso file to my lappy. (I hadn't tried that option, but the "destructions" said I need a DVD burner, which I don't).
Even that didn't work! So he did a "custom install". The GUI looked like something from Windows 98/2000, but it installed very nicely.
I tried to post this reply yesterday, but the Submit button just produced a message in red type, saying the reply had to be 6 letters or more!I'm hoping that doesn't happen, as I want to thank you for your ideas.
