Why we can't move the taskbar in windows11. Can we bring the updates in this version, to move the taskbar position?

This inability to move the taskbar is ABSOLUTELY ANNOYING. This is the first and biggest workback in user experience after upgrading to Windows 11 before any benefit is seen.

Not sure why the taskbar needed to be defaulted to stay put. Some things just need to be left alone. If there is a feature that can be used if you want to and it has no bearing on those who don't us it, why mess with it. I use my bar at the top so I am not always looking and now I can't. Please just give us the option back as well as the ability to add to the taskbar without all the steps to recreate the wheel.

I cannot believe this is a "deliberate design choice". Clearly there are people annoyed enough to look for a solution to the inflexibility of the taskbar, and it is my experience that the vast majority just accept inconveniences quietly. I've heard of work arounds, and I am likely technically capable enough to implement them, but there are plenty of people who are not. Furthermore, I shouldn't have to "tinker under the hood" to make my screen the way I like it. I like my taskbar on the side because I find it easier to see the screen when my vertical work space is maximized.

Honestly, I find it a bit "lazy" on Microsoft's part to not make the taskbar on Windows 11 as flexible as it has been on numerous prior Microsoft operating systems. I "upgraded" and then reverted back to Windows 10 when I found this "feature". Now I am putting off "upgrading" to Windows 11 as long as I can on my existing computer, despite constant "nagging" by Windows updater, and I am putting off getting a new computer which would likely come with the dreaded Windows 11. I hope Microsoft reconsiders this "deliberate design choice" and gives us flexibility of our taskbar!

I'm experiencing the same frustration. I always reposition the taskbar to the right of the screen. In past versions of windows, it was as simple as hold and drag...these kinds of easy, intuitive features is what keeps me a Windows customer. I cannot understand why after decades of what works, they would suddenly remove things that competitors now advertise as a selling feature.

please help us bring back taskbar location changing!! its a dealbreaker for me and i am switching back to windows 10 till its back.
