Why we can't move the taskbar in windows11. Can we bring the updates in this version, to move the taskbar position?

It is not a design flaw, it is a stupid design decision. I need the taskbar on the Left or Right and screen at the bottom. IT IS OBTUSE THINKING to assume I want it hidden, Learn for Apple Mac OS, learn from Windows 10 learn from Ubuntu Learn from Linux. Microsoft is surviving based on historic PC adoption, of the slate was cleaned it would be left behind. So a dumb design choice that, in searches, yields millions of hits. Millions look for a fix. Learn or become obsolete.

Maybe time for a community Hammering from pissed off users. Clearly the MS engineering gods do not pay attention here. Ubuntu has a compelling desktop release though, and with full support is probably competitive in year 1, but it'd be a yearly renewing contract. That said, the support we get from MS is abysmal so one could just wait it out while using ubuntu and see no real difference and in the hope (not much) MS engineering awakens.

I understand your frustration, and I'm here to provide information as a fellow Microsoft user. In Windows 11, the taskbar is designed to be aligned at the bottom of the screen by default. This design choice was made by Microsoft.

Currently, you can only change the taskbar alignment from the default "Center" to "Left" by going to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors.

If you want Microsoft to add this feature in the future, you can provide feedback using the Feedback Hub by pressing the Windows key + F.

Oh man I need to reply this as an IT professional for the last few years.

Microsoft doesn't give a care about what you think. They mimic mac because somehow they were losing money.

All we can do is accept whatever they do.

Wow, this is such a productivity squash. How/who could ever think this was a great idea to lock the task bar to bottom of the window??? Epic failure in design decision. I live in a virtual world of managing VM's in various cloud environments including Azure. Each in some RDP session I can be 2 or more deep and I set my task bars typically for the left side for efficient application stacking, and second level RDP session deep I set it to the right, again more effective task stacking and use of real estate. Combine this with the discontinuance of support for Windows 10 in 2025, this is making so desperate I'm having irrational thoughts of moving to iOS. Microsoft what were you thinking! Release a feature pack ASAP for Win11 that restores the ability to relocate the taskbar...please I'm desperate for productivity!

What they're actually saying, had you the capacity for basic reading comprehension, is that they CLEARLY KNOW WHERE THE OPTION IS LOCATED, the feature itself is buggy and does not always work properly.

You didn't have to be a complete bag of uncleansed dicks, but here we are.

Unless you have some magical insight as to why Microsoft chooses to change well-established features, **** them up, and then refuses to fix the new version, you are a worthless entity.
