Why we can't move the taskbar in windows11. Can we bring the updates in this version, to move the taskbar position?

While I'm not sure that Microsoft even monitors this site (I haven't seen any evidence of it in the last 1/2 dozen replies...) one can only hope that the large and growing number of dissatisfied customers might gain at least a modicum of attention. I heartily agree with a previous observation that with this limitation, Windows 11 becomes a downgrade rather than an upgrade. They've been allowing the task bar to move for, I'd dare say, the previous half a dozen versions of Windows - and a significant percentage of their customer base prefers moving the task bar. It seems either the height of hubris or at best the worst of negligence to do nothing about fixing this problem.

Microsoft should make this a priority to have the option to put the taskbar on the sides vs ONLY at the bottom. It has to be simple fix. The eye motion needed to have the tool bar at the bottom is harder on the neck and body. It may not seem like a big deal but it does affect a person's posture and form. I find I now slouch over more and have more neck pain because of this "design choice" . There was no reason to change the options, its an option. why take it away.

Please put back the option to have the taskbar on the right or left.

Please, please, please bring back the option to move the taskbar to the top. I run three displays all day, and just like the Edge browser, all the tools need to be at the top.

My hands shake so when i try to move the slider on the bottom of a program it pops up the task bar over and over.... I found a fix but the last update deleted it so I AM STUCK WITH THIS AGAIN BECAUSE MICROSOFT DOES NOT SEEM TO CARE!!!!!!

These are all really good concerns that everyone here has raised. Microsoft is making a mistake ignoring these concerns. The reason why this matters and Microsoft should pay attention is that unlike other "under the hood" changes, this one affects users at a personal level. It's how we interact with Windows and by extension all of the programs and experiences on Windows and beyond. Sure, Microsoft can ignore us. We really have few options once our employers and Microsoft's sunsetting of Win 10 occurs next year. But the frustration and anger engendered by this decision on Microsoft's part will cost them goodwill and it will cost employers productivity. C'mon Microsoft. Read the room! Give us back taskbar placement flexibility. You can do it.
