I have three Windows update errors 0x80070020, error (KB5039211) and error (0x80070643).

I have gone through the process of ;

1, Extending the partition through CMD prompt

2, Running the Troubleshooter

3, Resetting the Windows Updates Components

4, Installed the latest .NET

This makes no difference to the update error problem.

Best regards,

Michael.

Select Start, Power, and then press and hold the Shift key while clicking Restart.

    This takes you to WinRE.

Click Troubleshoot, Advanced Options, Command Prompt.

    Run:

    bcdedit | find "osdevice"

Note the partition number shown in the output.

    Suppose it's D: , then run:

    rd /s "D:\$WINDOWS.~BT"

OK. Please run the Windows 10 setup using the ISO that has been downloaded already.

Also, run the Farbar Scanner and share your logs.

    1. Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST64.exe)

    https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/farba...

    1. Run the program. Don't check or uncheck any options. Click "Scan".
    2. Upload the two logs, FRST.txt and Addition.txt, to your OneDrive and share the link here.

Note: If Microsoft Edge or Chrome mislabels the Farbar Scanner executable as PUA/malware, choose to keep it by tapping … in the bottom bar, choosing Keep, and then choosing Keep anyway in the dialog that appears.

I have done this and typed in "C:$WINDOWS.~BT" as this is where the file is? - Could not be found!

Not sure where to input the partition number?

    Best regards,

    Michael.
