How do I add Paint 3D to the open with menu choices in Windows Explorer for Windows 10?

If I right click on a .JPG or .PNG file, Paint 3D does not appear, even if I select Chooese Another App, More Apps and then scroll down. However, Paint 3D does appear in the Start Menu listing of all programs.

It looks like they removed the Paint3D "Open with" entries in the recent release. Adding the entry manually via the registry doesn't seem to work.

Please submit feedback to Microsoft via the Feedback Hub (Win + F).

Also, I suggest upvoting these threads at the Feedback Hub, if possible.

By the way, the earlier version (2310.24037.0) doesn't have this problem. You can download it from the Microsoft servers via the Microsoft Store - Generation Project: https://store.rg-adguard.net/

On the above portal, paste the following URL and generate the Appx download links for Paint 3D.

https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nblggh5fv99 (Paint 3D - Microsoft Store URL)

(After installing the older version, turn off the auto-updation of Store apps. Otherwise, the app will be updated to the latest version.)

One can always open Paint 3D and then open the file with the program/app and edit.

Lame. Just fix it. Not rocket science.

This is the kind of problem that makes people avoid microsoft programs and solutions.

something worked, and they intentionally screwed it up. made it so we can't find it in the manual "choose app from your pc" option and also no auto load option in the right click "open with" and also gone from "edit in" which is really where it should be as the replacement for MS Paint.

Back to photoshop for us. screw these idiots.
