(KB5039211) refuses to install

2024-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5039211)

This update will not successfully apply, goes through the usual dialogs only to fail on restart and undo the changes.

I've tried SFC and DISM with no results.

Any help is appreciated.

    Finally made it work:

    1. Download the latest Windows 10 install file as ISO
    2. Open the ISO and run Setup.exe
    3. Complete the installation/upgrade in Windows 10
    4. Run Windows Update a couple of times

    All updates OK. After working on the system for maybe 20 hours. Not happy.

    Works on my machine, but probably not the right solution for everyone.

    Please upload your CBS logs to OneDrive and share the link in the new thread.

    • c:\windows\logs\cbs\                   <= Zip and upload all files in this folder.

    Additionally, upload the following file:

    • c:\windows\INF\setupapi.dev.log

    I spent hours trying to fix this without luck. KB5039211 fails with error 0x800f0922.

    Even went through the pain to restore my entire system disk to a version from April, hoping to be able to update, but no. Same error.

    I think Microsoft needs to find a general fix for this issue if they are serious about security for their users.

    Do you mean that you went to Windows 11 or did you get this to catch in safemode? I have same issue with no resolve and would like to have my PC not be restarted every morning when I get up
