(KB5039211) refuses to install

I performed an in-place upgrade.

Download the Windows 10 ISO from the Microsoft website and run it like you were upgrading from a previous Windows for the first time.

Choose the option to keep your files when prompted and let it go through the process of installing.

When it's done, it will attempt to install any updates available.

For me, it resolved whatever corruption was present in the system.

It's fairly low risk, try it and see if it works for you.

Always backup your data beforehand in case something goes sideways though.

i fixed mine with some tinkering- i believe we are all having the same issue as the timing is too keen. nowhere for whatever update to be installed. this caused a bugged install that will continue to be an issue after the precursor problem is fixed. basically i think all of our recovery partitions are too small. then the update ran into a wall and broke itself. what i did was step 1 follow youtuber: Julia's tech spot for a walkthrough, idk how to link it the video is called

it may say the wrong error badge for you because i think its whatever decided to install last is what failed and got the tag. use this video to fix why the update failed and make your recovery partition bigger, i had to Ad-lib a little because i have a used PC someone needed to make extra partitions for idk why. so i had to take each disk lines recovery and stretch it. each separate hard disk's recovery and stretch it because i couldn't tell where it was trying to put itself. Also this video stacks- if you think you need more space just play follow the leader twice or three times it'll make the drives bigger each time. then you need to fix the errored version of windows that it cant fix because this is an unprecedented issue it actually broke itself. go to mic support and download a completely new version of windows on a flash drive (keep it in case the future sucks as bad as the present) and use to to boot a new version of windows install like your recovering it off the flash drive. *salute*
