3D Builder has disappeared from my Windows 10 and the MS store doesn't have a download option to put it back

The title pretty much says it all.

For some reason 3D Builder is no longer listed on my PC. It does not exist in Add/Remove programs either. No idea why.

The point is that I can't get it back because when I go to the MS store there is no download button available.

How do I get 3D builder reinstalled on my PC?

You can download the offline installer from Microsoft via https://store.rg-adguard.net/

  1. Visit https://store.rg-adguard.net/
  2. Paste the following link in the text box provided: https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrfj3t6
  3. Click the button with a tick mark.
  4. Download these three files:

(a) Microsoft.WindowsPreview.Kinect.8.1_2.0.1410.19000_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.appx

(b) Microsoft.VCLibs.120.00_12.0.21005.1_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx

(c) Microsoft.3DBuilder_2015.209.2327.4143_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle

  1. Install items (a) and (b). Then, run the .AppxBundle file to install it.

    This doesn't work for me in Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (Build 22631.4391). All I get is a greyed-out "Get" button in the MS Store app.

    Yes, the pinned comment you're referencing is the old version. You should be using VCLibs.140.00_14.0 and 3dBuilder_20.0.4.0 if you've been using it for the last ~3 years like I have. Still needs the Kinect_2.0.1410 package.

    Paste the Microsoft Store link to 3D Builder into the box on that site. https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrfj3t6

    It will load a list of items you can download directly. Pick these 3, then install the two Appx packages, then install the AppxBundle. I had to use Firefox to download them. Other people are complaining about other browsers not letting them download.

    Microsoft.VCLibs.140.00_14.0.33519.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.Appx
    Microsoft.3DBuilder_20.0.4.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.AppxBundle

    Microsoft.WindowsPreview.Kinect.8.1_2.0.1410.19000_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe.appx

    It may fail at first if you have the Microsoft Store app open, so just pay attention to the error message and close any other apps it complains about.
