My pc has been crashing during gaming.

I've had this laptop for a while now, my laptop is also approx 4 years old, idk if this may be the cause of my problems. Most games I play crash and it's related to my GPU.

I've pretty much tried everything except for reading my "Event Viewer" errors. I was wondering if someone could help me read through these errors. This is my error viewer log, I've already filtered error, warning, and critical.

If you want to know about my drivers, I've installed newer versions from intel and manufactuer websites, since the asus website for my drivers are 3-4 years old.

    Hi David,

    Yes, I installed the chipset from the Asus website as you instructed, the latest being released in 2020.

    Would it possible for you to provide links and instructions videos for downloading the 3 things you suggested? I am getting confused on which to download since some aren't on the Intel website, the Thermal framework doesn't show anything on the Intel Website besides INF Utilities, and Serial IO doesn't have clear instructions online. Also would I need to uninstall the old chipset? Should I be downloading the components you listed from ASUS or from INTEL?

    I'm sorry for the inconvenience and really appreciate you helping me.

    No problem.

    There is no need to uninstall any drivers. Just install the drivers I suggested.

    • Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework Driver

    (Run the downloaded EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.)

    • Intel Management Engine Components

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/Dri...

    (Run the downloaded EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.)

    • Serial IO

    https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/Dri...

    (Extract the ZIP file, and double-click the file "Install" to run it. Running this file should already install the driver. I don't think you will need to take any further action.)

    After installing these drivers, restart your PC and see if it works stable.

    I will test out other programs, however it may take some time installing, so I will get back to you later today.

    In the latest log, several warnings are saying that the Nvidia driver has stopped responding.

    Do you have game overlays running while playing games?

    If yes, try disabling all overlays and see if the game will run stable.
