My pc has been crashing during gaming.

I've had this laptop for a while now, my laptop is also approx 4 years old, idk if this may be the cause of my problems. Most games I play crash and it's related to my GPU.

I've pretty much tried everything except for reading my "Event Viewer" errors. I was wondering if someone could help me read through these errors. This is my error viewer log, I've already filtered error, warning, and critical.

Here is the log file:

If you want to know about my drivers, I've installed newer versions from intel and manufactuer websites, since the asus website for my drivers are 3-4 years old.

I've done all the steps you've provided. Should I still update my drivers, because you mention newer versions may be the cause of my problems?

    Thanks for the clarifications.

Using the Nvidia driver may be the source of the problem. Unfortunately, the drivers provided by Nvidia can cause problems on laptops. Always use the Nvidia driver provided by the laptop manufacturer, even if it is old.

I suggest you perform a clean install of the Nvidia driver as instructed below and use the latest version provided by Asus for your laptop.

Download the latest driver for your graphics card from Asus's website. Then, use the free DDU tool to remove the current driver. Then, install the latest driver using the installer you downloaded.
I suggest disconnecting from the internet during the entire procedure.
(Turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect the Ethernet cable.)

    DDU: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-dr...

    Nvidia driver download: https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/GamingNB/Ima...
(Run the downloaded EXE file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.)

    Driver source: https://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/fx505gt/hel...

See if the system will work stable after this.

If the problem persists, let me know. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.

If you need a tutorial for using DDU, I recommend the video below.

Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

Your logs have several errors related to the Nvidia driver "nvlddmkm".

    Please clarify the following:

When you updated the Nvidia driver, did you download it only from the Asus website, or did you also download it from the Nvidia website?

Also. What is the manufacturer and model of your laptop?

If you prefer, you can send a screenshot of your system information.

    • Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

I await your reply. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.
