In my settings it says that the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442) and the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5039895) is ready to be downloaded and installed but as I proceed with the update it keeps saying there was an error and the update will not install. I have tried restarting my PC and looking in my bios to find a problem but my troubleshooting has not worked.

2024-07-13T14:13:43+00:00 I had this exact same issue with this cumulative update and .net and had tried everything or so I thought. Finally, I disabled my Aura virus scan and VPN and the update completed successfully. It’s possible I didn’t need to disable the VPN but I had been troubleshooting this for a week now and was at the point of doing a clean install of Win11. Hope this helps others!
