My computer will not download the latest windows update.

In my settings it says that the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442) and the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5039895) is ready to be downloaded and installed but as I proceed with the update it keeps saying there was an error and the update will not install. I have tried restarting my PC and looking in my bios to find a problem but my troubleshooting has not worked.

    Please post the error code you received when installing the updates.

    Also, if the error code starts with "0x8007", upload your CBS logs to OneDrive and share the link here.

    • c:\windows\logs\cbs\                   <= Zip and upload all files in this folder.

    ERROR CODE: 0x800700c1 & 0x800705b9, currently my One Drive is frozen is there any other way to get it to you?

    If OneDrive doesn't work, please try Google Drive, Dropbox, WeTransfer.com, or a similar file-hosting site.

    Hi andriana,

    Please run the following fix exactly as mentioned.

    • Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro of Sysnative forums) and save this to your Desktop. • Download the file, SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
    • On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
    • Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it. [See illustration image - https://imgur.com/a/7i4Y8g8]

    • SFCFix will now process the script.
    • Restart Windows.
    • Upload the output file SFCFix.txt to your OneDrive.

    See if you can install updates.
