Deleted them, but still get this when trying to run the MCT exe
My computer will not download the latest windows update.

In my settings it says that the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442) and the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5039895) is ready to be downloaded and installed but as I proceed with the update it keeps saying there was an error and the update will not install. I have tried restarting my PC and looking in my bios to find a problem but my troubleshooting has not worked.

Type "C:$WINDOWS.~BT"
Click OK.
In the "C:$WINDOWS.~BT" folder, select all the files and subfolders, and delete them.
If you can't delete them, try from Safe mode.

C:$WINDOWS.~BT
Rerun MCT.
If "C:$WINDOWS.~BT" can't be deleted, that explains why the "Reinstall now" option in Settings failed.
Try deleting the folder from Safe mode.
