In my settings it says that the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442) and the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5039895) is ready to be downloaded and installed but as I proceed with the update it keeps saying there was an error and the update will not install. I have tried restarting my PC and looking in my bios to find a problem but my troubleshooting has not worked.

During the 1st attempt, the setup crashed in 3 minutes. After you did the clean boot, the setup now ran for 1 hour and then threw the error code 0x80040154 (shown in the log). It's good progress.

I have tried the ISO method but no luck.

The setup host seems to have crashed and no reason was mentioned.

If not, clean boot Windows:
(Step 3 is very important. You must enable "Hide all Microsoft services" before clicking "Disable all"
