In my settings it says that the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442) and the 2024-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5039895) is ready to be downloaded and installed but as I proceed with the update it keeps saying there was an error and the update will not install. I have tried restarting my PC and looking in my bios to find a problem but my troubleshooting has not worked.

I'm getting the same problem as of yesterday, error codes 0x800706be and 0x800706ba, cannot download
2024-07 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 23H2 for x64 (KB5039895)
2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442)
and five other Intel updates. Troubleshooting doesn't solve it.

Today, the same problem has appeared. There is no error code. Loading is in progress, it is completion. Then try again.
I read the comments, but did not understand what to do.
I had this exact same issue with this cumulative update and .net and had tried everything or so I thought. Finally, I disabled my Aura virus scan and VPN and the update completed successfully. It’s possible I didn’t need to disable the VPN but I had been troubleshooting this for a week now and was at the point of doing a clean install of Win11. Hope this helps others!
