So ive had this problem for a long time now.. Windows update will not install and my firewall will not turn on (grayed out). I did a scan in the CMD and it says there is missing or corrupted files. I tried to do a ton of fixes on it an nothing is working. Also my firewall says "update your firewall settings but when i try to click on the use recommended setting its shoots me another error code (0x8007045b). I have a feeling that those 2 problems are connected can anyone help me?

Note: Ive also tried these in the powershell but that didnt work either.

net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver

    Hi there!

I ran it, and while it tells me there's 150 corruptions, and 131 warnings at the end of the scan it tells me to press any key to continue, and it gives me a ComponentsScanner.txt file for notepad. But nothing actually gets repaired. I'm going to post the file on sysnative and go from there. I'll update if it gets fixed, or not. Thank you for your help so far!

    Hi Lirilei,

I'm having the same issue, and have been for awhile.

Following what everyone has has been told to do I get:

Components > ERROR: The configuration registry database is corrupt.

Drivers > The operation completed successfully.

So here is my components: Components Zip

    Thank you for any help!

Please download ComponentsScanner 64-bit and run it. Allow it to repair the hive when prompted.

    Hi Blaine,

Please download Blaine DRIVERS.zip. Unzip and extract it to desktop. Move the DRIVERS file to C:\Windows\system32\Config.

    Hello Ramesh

I found your support string after I received the 0x800703f1 error. It seems I am having the same problem with my DRIVER file. I ran the command in your first post for both the COMMAND and DRIVER file. The COMMAND completed successfully, but the DRIVER said the database was corrupt.

Would you please take a look at it?

    Blaine DRIVERS.zip

    Thank you
