Why is Paint 3D Shutting Down

Paint 3D is a tool I use for tasks regularly and I want to know why its shutting down all of a sudden

there's not enough information on why you cant keep it up, update it, or make a better version of it to fit windows 11.

The removal of Paint 3D shouldn't be necessary.

If it really has to go then I would like to know why you cant either save or remake it or even incorporate it into existing applications.

HAHA MICROSOFT ITS 24TH JANUARY 2025 RIGHT? GUESS WHAT. YOU DEPRECATED PAINT 3D ON NOVEMBER 4TH LAST YEAR. RIGHT? NOW I HAVE PAINT 3D ON MY WINDOWS 11 FRESH INSTALL!

I LAUGH IN THE FACE OF MICROSOFT AND SAY, WELL AND TRULY, WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP PAINT 3D. NO MATTER WHAT YOU TRY THERE IS ALWAYS A BACKDOOR, A METHOD TO REINSTALL IT!

    Vil jeg miste ms 3d paint så lenge den er installert i windows 11.

    Jeg reinstallerte operativsystemet fra windows 10 til 11.

    Kan jeg fortsatt bruke det fra 4.11.24?

    Exactly! Regular paint is so useless and has terrible ui. Sure they made it look nicer in windows 11 but simple things like cropping and zooming in and out require too much bullsh** to do. There is also no 3D text which I rely on as it looks nicer. Let's be real, it was regular ms paint that should have been gotten rid of, but Microsoft decided to be dumb and update their almost 40 year old program with a couple new features instead of a new one, which was more feature rich and useable.

    Yeah, seriously, what's the problem with letting us have both Paint and Paint 3D? You're not seriously expecting us to believe that Paint 3D is somehow a high maintenance program that's costing you to keep it around, are you? I don't believe the excuse that not enough people are probably using it. It's not a commercial app, so ROI isn't a factor!

    Is this like taking our legacy Solitaire and Minesweeper away from Windows and putting them into the Microsoft Store after monetizing them with ads? Are you trying to lose more good will from your user base?

    And you're getting rid of WordPad too. I don't use that one, but I've recommended it to the very elderly who don't have money for 365 and only need the basics (but more than Notepad). Who's making all these terrible decisions at Microsoft??

    Let's be real, it was regular ms paint that should have been gotten rid of, but Microsoft decided to be dumb and update their almost 40 year old program with a couple new features instead of a new one, which was more feature rich and useable.

    Microsoft did try to do that, actually, but Paint 3D wasn't such a big hit. And if you still want Paint 3D, follow these instructions to download the package from the MS Store and keep them to install any time.
