Problem after update

After an update on 15 August (I think), one of the users (admin) gets a recurring screen (http://ventre-a-pattes.net/bug.jpg) and cannot work. Two other accounts (one admin, one not) do not have the problem, a third one (not admin) does too. I tried to uninstall all recent items, ran update again, nothing works. Thanks for any suggestion.

    Hi EricYL,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

According to your description, you are using your computer and after one update, you are experiencing the issue of a blank screen being unavailable in one local administrator account and one non-administrator account at the same time.

I reviewed the screenshots you provided and this is indeed a strange phenomenon.

I note that you had some conversations with an independent consultant and patiently tried out the options therein and then provided feedback accordingly, which is a wonderful quality that transcends most users, and your patience is to be commended.

I also noticed that you seem to have tried creating a new local administrator account, and in the new account, there is no such issue, so it is likely that in the previous account, there was an issue with an incorrect account profile, and usually the solution to such issues is by creating a new local administrator account and doing a file migration.

Please try to do this in the local administrator account where the problem occurred before, and if it doesn't work, please do it in an administrator account that you can use normally.

Please refer to the following link to uninstall this update

See if uninstalling the update resolves your issue.

If the problem persists, try to restore the system to the point before the problem or update by following the link below

Use System Restore - Microsoft Support

If you are unable to perform a system restore, please refer to the following steps and try to perform a full system file check

    1. Search for Command Prompt in the taskbar, right-click on it, and select Run as administrator.
    2. Enter the following commands one by one, please make sure to execute the next command after the previous one is completed. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth SFC /Scannow
    3. After the scan is complete, you can check the scanning information to see if the problem has been detected and fixed.

If the problem still exists, please refer to the following link to perform an in-place upgrade of your system. The in-place upgrade repairs the system through the system image file, while preserving your data and applications.

Disclaimer: Let’s try performing an in-place install or in-place upgrade which will refresh your Windows files and operating system without removing files or applications. That being said, we always recommend that if you have important data, you should back it up before making large system changes. If you want to back up your data first, please do so. Once you are done backing up, you can follow the steps in the following guides:

How to run In-place upgrade in Windows 11 - Microsoft Community

If the problem persists, the only way to get around it at the moment is to use a different account and re-download or migrate some of the apps.

This issue needs to be brought to the attention of developers.

Microsoft attaches great importance to user experience, you can submit your ideas and suggestions through the Feedback Hub, and the development team will regularly review submissions for ideas or fixes.

Please share the feedback link here after submitting as it will allow others on the forum to vote for your submission, including me. More votes will lead to more visibility and higher priority to the development team.

Also, I noticed that you mentioned that you seem to have lost some bookmarks, may I ask which browser you lost them in? Do you have account synchronization turned on to back up your bookmarks?

Please let me know the results of your above attempts. Thank you for your understanding and support.

    Best regards,

Thanks for letting me help so far, Eric. We’ve tried key combinations, DISM, and SFC scans, and creating a new profile was the only workaround that worked.

It might be a good idea to have another user member review the issue and provide a fresh perspective. Please give them a bit of time to get back to you.

Win-P does nothing, Win-Ctrl-Shift-B neither, except pinging from time to time

Understood, the error seems to be persistent, and it's within your user accounts, how about if you follow these steps: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/tro...
