Trying to boot from a usb stick In win 10 I get the message "Verifying shim SBAT data failed: Security Policy ViolationSomething has gone seriously wrong: SBAT self-check failed: Security Policy Violation" Can someone help me resolve it? Is this from the latest windows update?

This seems to have started right after a win update but I'm not sure if it's a coincident or not. Thanks for any help

    I ran the registry update that you suggested, but it made no difference.

    The BIOS in my ACER Vero AV15-52 is locked and won't allow me to disable secure boot.

    Hi Dave,

    My laptop was previously dual booted having windows and ubuntu 20. I got the above error, so to remove it I removed ubuntu from my laptop. I even tried removing the latest update but it asked me to restart system and after that while restarting, system downloads that update again. Could you please help me ?

    I don't want to turn off security boot. I have windows 11 in my laptop. My laptop is Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ACH6.

    Hi Dave,

    I tried. I turned off Secure Boot and then I could turn on the computer normally. But I turned on Secure Boot again and the computer still couldn't turn on. I had the problem of Verifying shim SBAT
