Hi Yash,
I have reviewed the issue, and from my understanding, the issue of being unable to connect to your router's Wi-Fi after updating to Windows 11 24H2, follow these additional steps:
- Uninstall and Reinstall Wi-Fi Drivers
• Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Network adapters.
• Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and select Uninstall device.
• Restart your PC to allow Windows to reinstall the default driver, or manually download the latest driver from your Wi-Fi adapter or laptop manufacturer’s website.
- Use a Generic Wi-Fi Driver
• Go back to Device Manager, and right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter again.
• Select Update driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list.
• Choose a generic driver like Microsoft Wi-Fi Direct Virtual Adapter or another option listed, and check if it resolves the issue.
- Disable Fast Startup
• Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
• Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
• Scroll down and uncheck Turn on fast startup.
• Restart your PC and try reconnecting to Wi-Fi.
- Reset TCP/IP Stack
• Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
• Run the following commands one by one:
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
• Restart your PC after running these commands.
Please let me know if you need further assistance, and keep me updated.
Best regards,
Arvind
