    Hello, Peterpark33652

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.

I do understand your frustration in having trouble with Copilot Voice Mode. This is truly a brand new feature that is still in beta and may present a somewhat inconsistent experience. Below are some steps that point to various aspects where the problem may exist, and as a temporary step you can try:

    1. Reconfiguring the network

    I. Reset the network

    1. Search for CMD, open to find the command prompt to run in administrator mode)
    2. In the pop-up command box, enter the following commands in turn (each line after the execution ends, enter the next)  ipconfig /release  ipconfig /renew  ipconfig /flushdns  ipconfig /registerdns  netsh int ip reset  netsh winsock reset  netsh winhttp reset proxy
    3. Restart the computer to see if the problem can be resolved.

    II. Reset Network Settings

Press windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Advanced and tick "Use SSL 3.0", "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1", "Use TLS 1.2", restart the computer after application to see if the problem can be fixed.

    III. Reset Proxy Server Settings

Click windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Connections, click LAN Settings, check if the Proxy Server column is checked, if so, uncheck it and click OK, restart your computer after applying it to see if you can fix the problem.

    IV. Modification of the DNS

    1. Click windows+R and type ncpa.cpl.
    2. Click the name of the network you are now connected to, open the Network Status window, click Properties, and then double-click Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the Network Properties window.
    3. Manually set the DNS server to "4.2.2.1" and "4.2.2.2", OK, restart the computer to see if you can fix the problem.

    2. Re-login to your account: When you log in, the browser creates a session. If there is a problem with this session, it may result in abnormal functionality. Re-signing in refreshes your user session and helps to resolve some temporary issues.

    • Locate and click on your avatar or account name in the upper right corner and select Sign Out.
    • Enter your account information on the sign-in page and sign in again, or you can try signing in to another Microsoft account.

    3. Try clearing your cache: Browser caches are used to store temporary data for websites to speed up loading. However, sometimes an old or corrupted cache can cause new features to not work properly. Clearing the cache eliminates these potential problems and ensures that the most up-to-date data is being used.

    • If you are using Edge, click on the three dots in the top right corner.
    • Find the “Privacy, Search, and Services” option and select “Clear browsing data”.
    • Make sure that Cache and Website Data is selected and click Confirm Clear.
    • Restart your browser.

Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix website issues. Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.

    4. Switching network environments: An unstable network may affect the performance of the voice feature and the link to Microsoft servers. You can try using it in a different network environment, such as switching to a home Wi-Fi or cellular hotspot, and see if there is any improvement.

Since the feature is still in beta, the best way to get these issues back to the Copilot development team is through the built-in feedback channel which is the most direct and quickest way for Copilot engineers to receive your feedback so that they can take note of the issue and resolve it as soon as possible.

Your patience and feedback is greatly appreciated and helps in the continuous improvement of the product!

    Best Regards,
