Win 11 Version 24H2 Update is getting an error when its at 8%

Laptop - Lenovo Ideapad Gaming

Specs - Ryzen 5 6600H With Radeon Graphics, Ram - 16GB, 3050 RTX, 500 GB SSD

Been Having problems updating to the new version (24H2) would help if u could figure out what could be the underlying cause.

If u cannot see the screenshot, heres the breif description of the error msg :

This PC doesnt currently meet the win 11 requirements

Heres Why:

We couldnt update system reserved partition

Windows for home | Windows 11 | Windows update

    Thanks so much for comments/reply.
    I have the same Problem. EFI at DELL Latitude 7420 is only 100MB.

    I talked to DELL-Germany as I am in Germany. DELL is not aware of the EFI too small Problem. DELL suggested me to Backup or Copy my Data and reinstall Windows 11 completely new. But I have not done reinstallation and waiting for either BIOS Update through DELL or Microsoft-Update.

    I think the reinstallition will not fix the problem permanently as DELL can again put junk in EFI-Partiton. I think the expansion of EFI-Partition is only solution or update through DELL or MS..

    Before I resize/expand EFI-Partition, I would like to know, whether somebody has done it with success and without problems?
    What tool had been used for resizing, AOMEI or something else.?

    I will very much welcome and appreciate your comments.

    Hi Ajay,

    Those files can remain on the C drive. Updating the BIOS will likely create those images again in the EFI partition.

    Note:

    Note: If you wish to resize the EFI partition (which will be a permanent fix for this issue), you can use AOMEI or a similar third-party tool.

    • mountvol Y: /s
    • md C:\DellBIOS
    • move Y:\EFI\Dell\Bios\Recovery\* C:\DellBIOS
    • exit

    I was able to follow your instruction and install Windows.

    Though would it be possible to move these files back? If yes, how do I do that?
