I finally found the correct key...I couldn't see it as it was buried under cables and computer stuff...after a couple of goes at copying it correctly I activated windows...apologies for mucking you about....

Windows 11 deactivated after 24h2 update

I updated my computer today to 24H2 and after it rebooted it requested me to activate my copy of Windows Home. I attempted to using the key that I have but it says that it can't.
I have inserted a screenshot below. If you need any further information please let me know.

2024-10-03T17:50:38+00:00 Hello, I am having the exact same issue. I bought mine with it pre-installed. They activated it for me, but did not leave me with any card that had the product key on it.
After it updated, it is telling me to Activate Windows, but when I try to run the troubleshoot, it does not work.
The last 5 of my Product Key are 2YT43, if that helps.
I tried running those commands you put, but it didn't work.

2024-10-07T15:37:00+00:00 Hi - I am having the same issue with the "Activate Windows Go to Settings to activate windows." grey text on screen in the bottom right-hand corner. I have only had my pc a few weeks, which came with Windows 11 Home pre-installed and no paperwork. The PC has been updating itself for windows updates and now seems to have Windows 11 Enterprise version (no idea how that's happened!) It says the Windows 11 version is 23H2 and that it's up-to-date.
The product key ends "8HV2C" after the "XXXX-"'s.
The activation state shows Error code: 0xC004C003
NB I have tried you advice above re "cmd" and running as administrator "slmgr /rilc", and then the Windows activation troubleshooter, but that doesn't solve the problem.

2024-10-08T10:20:51+00:00 Same here. Just updated my desktop to 24h2 and now it says that my windows 11 is not activated. The OS came pre-installed and I have the original CD and serial number.
