I updated my computer today to 24H2 and after it rebooted it requested me to activate my copy of Windows Home. I attempted to using the key that I have but it says that it can't.
I have inserted a screenshot below. If you need any further information please let me know.

Same Problem. I have only a serial number and no product key as I bought a Windows 11 Home System Builder Version. How can I roll back the update? And is the activation not lost for the old version too? Any ideas how to repair the issue? What does MS say about this? Any help is welcome!
We have build a lot of desktops and used an OEM Windows 11 Pro without any problems.
But after the update to 24H2 (build 26100.9315) the licenses are deactivated on a lot of them.
I have tried several times to run this command:
slmgr.vbs /dlv
After a restart the license is activated again.
But it will only last a couple of days (max) and then it's deactivated again.
I wouldn't mind re-entering the license but most of the computers are either virtual or mounted under workstations (tables) and therefore not accessible.
I have tried ShowKeyPlus (version 1.1.18.0) from Microsoft Store but it doesn't work.
Any ideas what to do?
Yep. I can imagine what businesses and IT people who may be working with dozens or hundreds of Windows systems must be going through. It's crazy that this hasn't been fixed yet.
I agree. Unfortunately for me, I didn't notice it was deactivated until it was too late to roll back. I haven't had the time to call Microsoft to see if some how we I can get my product key. At this point I am positive my product key was thrown out during our move.
We are now in April 2025, six months after the start of this thread, and this issue still exists. I have an ASUS TUF gaming PC built by Arsenal PC. It came with an OEM version of Windows 11 Home already installed and activated; I do not have and cannot find any activation key on it, only five digits at the end of the license number. Whenever my computer tries to update to 24H2, it deactivates the license and I have to roll back to 23H2. I have tried all the solutions suggested here and elsewhere. The fact that this problem still exists after this long is ridiculous.
