Mouse Cursor Size Issue on Windows 11 (v24H2) - HP Spectre x360

Hello everyone, I am experiencing a strange issue with my Windows 11 (version 24H2) laptop. Every time I boot up my HP Spectre x360 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop, the mouse cursor appears significantly larger than normal.

I found that resetting the graphics card temporarily resolves the issue, but the problem reoccurs with each reboot. changing the screen resolution also fixed it, any solution? My laptop is equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and has 8GB of RAM.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

🤦🏻‍♂️ That’s what I suspected might happen - it’s why I’m loathe to phone these so-called support desks.

Thanks for the help though and I hope you get those 2 hours back sometime!

    Yes, same for me.

    Very very irritating.

I think I found a solution. The Hp representative's help did not work so I looked in the web. If you go Settings - System - Display - Scale; the default is 200%, change it around and then back to 200%, it solves the issue. I tried it yesterday and since then the cursor hasn't changed its size.

Sakina, I have done that and it's solved the problem up to a point.

However, when I shut down and log back in the large pointer returns. 😖

I found that solution also, it seems to work even after rebooting or using the touch screen, i will update if the problem randomly appears again.
