So I stopped the fast start and it seems working, I haven't had an issue for a month.
Mouse Cursor Size Issue on Windows 11 (v24H2) - HP Spectre x360
Hello everyone, I am experiencing a strange issue with my Windows 11 (version 24H2) laptop. Every time I boot up my HP Spectre x360 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop, the mouse cursor appears significantly larger than normal.
I found that resetting the graphics card temporarily resolves the issue, but the problem reoccurs with each reboot. changing the screen resolution also fixed it, any solution? My laptop is equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and has 8GB of RAM.

2025-02-06T16:52:29+00:00 It's definitely not a cursor issue, it's related to dpi settings since the latest windows forced update to 24H2. You can use a 3rd party tool such as dpifix to force the dpi back to 200, then it resolves. It seems like it will involve customer intel drivers to work with the new update, probably vendor specific for each affected vendor, but there just doesn't seem to be any appetite to do so, noone is acknowledging the issue unfortunately. Going to display settings, changing from 200% to 175, then back to 200 will also reset it

2025-02-06T16:54:04+00:00 Yes that was the fix I found a while back, doing this does help, as long as you don't mind losing fast start functionality. The trouble with doing this is it masks the issue, meaning whoever needs to take ownership of it simply wont

2025-02-06T18:12:59+00:00 Hello,
Can you imagine that we have to fix after 24H2 update in our HP Spectre X360 laptops, which is in premium laptop class from HP, a display issue since 3 months by disabling fast-startup or using third party applications?
We are explaining this issue in a lot of platforms like this since several weeks, and Microoft, INTEL even as laptop producer HP is not taking these conversations serious and taking no actions.
This issue can only be solved, if HP will work of it with Microsoft and Intel together and find a solution.
As a laptop producer HP should not only sell laptops and gain a lot of money, they should also give the best after sale service and have to solve this kind of issues in a premium laptop ASAP!!!!
HP Spectre X360 laptop is also an expensive laptop, people can not buy this product with a poor aftersale quality like this.
I hope HP will wake up soon, and act like they should do!!!
