Mouse Cursor Size Issue on Windows 11 (v24H2) - HP Spectre x360

Hello everyone, I am experiencing a strange issue with my Windows 11 (version 24H2) laptop. Every time I boot up my HP Spectre x360 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop, the mouse cursor appears significantly larger than normal.

I found that resetting the graphics card temporarily resolves the issue, but the problem reoccurs with each reboot. changing the screen resolution also fixed it, any solution? My laptop is equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and has 8GB of RAM.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

    Hello,

Can you imagine that we have to fix after 24H2 update in our HP Spectre X360 laptops, which is in premium laptop class from HP, a display issue since 3 months by disabling fast-startup or using third party applications?

We are explaining this issue in a lot of platforms like this since several weeks, and Microoft, INTEL even as laptop producer HP is not taking these conversations serious and taking no actions.

This issue can only be solved, if HP will work of it with Microsoft and Intel together and find a solution.

As a laptop producer HP should not only sell laptops and gain a lot of money, they should also give the best after sale service and have to solve this kind of issues in a premium laptop ASAP!!!!

HP Spectre X360 laptop is also an expensive laptop, people can not buy this product with a poor aftersale quality like this.

I hope HP will wake up soon, and act like they should do!!!

    Hello! I'm Manoel Barros!

I have seen other users reporting this problem. Maybe it’s a bug of the new version of Windows 11.

Anyway, do a clean reinstall of the video driver and a repair on Windows.

    Reinstall Video Driver

    1. Go to your graphics manufacturer’s website (links below) > Search for your graphics card or processor > Download the latest driver.

    AMD:

    Nvidia:

    Intel:

    1. Download the DDU from the site below. Click *** Download DDU "Installer" ***.

    https://www.wagnardsoft.com/forums/viewtopic.ph...

    1. Install the DDU.

    2. When booting into Safe Mode, find and open DDU > Select your GPU (Video Card) or CPU (Processor) > Select the AMD, Nvidia or Intel device > Click "Clear & Restart" > Wait for the program to completely uninstall the driver and reboot.
    3. After restarting, exit Safe Mode. Press the shortcut CTRL + R > Type ''msconfig'' (without quotation marks) > Click on the 'General" tab, check the 'Normal Boot' option > Click on 'OK'.
    4. When you restart your computer, install the downloaded video driver > Choose "Express Installation" or "Recommended Installation" during the installation screen > Restart your computer after the installation is complete.

NOTE: Your computer screen may blink a few times. Don’t worry, it’s normal.

    1. See if the problem will persist.

Hello. Looks like you have a custom mouse pointer. My mouse pointer is a cat. I think it maybe possible you have a large mouse pointer set. Try to change the default mouse pointer. Win+R -> Control.exe -> Control Panel\All Control Panel Items -> Mouse -> Pointers
