Mouse Cursor Size Issue on Windows 11 (v24H2) - HP Spectre x360

Hello everyone, I am experiencing a strange issue with my Windows 11 (version 24H2) laptop. Every time I boot up my HP Spectre x360 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop, the mouse cursor appears significantly larger than normal.

I found that resetting the graphics card temporarily resolves the issue, but the problem reoccurs with each reboot. changing the screen resolution also fixed it, any solution? My laptop is equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics and has 8GB of RAM.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Wishing you alla a great 2025!

Unfortunately I have not found a solution. Today I had a chat with Microsoft support, but I can't say it was very helpful. Here you can se the conversation. The advice given was to continue report it in the Feedback hub. After I pushed a little I got a phone number I could try to call +18664259799, But to reach them I have to upgrade my phoneplan to be able to call to USA and I am in Europe, so I guess I am going to continue to report through the feedback hub for a bit longer...

    Hello,

Check this out in HP Community web site, which is same problem :

    https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-System-and-Recovery/Display-scaling-at-200-broken/td-p/9220374

HP can see this and I personaly did call them. If you can check also this conversation from the beginning, you can see that some other people did call them also with no solution.

But I am thinking the problem is due to the compatibility issue between Intel Arc driver and Windows 24H2.

Intel, Windows and HP have to comunicate together to solve this problem, in order to release a new update; can be for new graphic driver or new Microsoft update.

    Hello,

Has anyone reported this issue to HP? It seems like each party is just passing the problem to someone else. I contacted Intel support 10 days ago, and they claimed the issue lies with HP. This is becoming a really frustrating problem.

    Thank you.

I also have the same problem with my new HP Omnibook Ultra laptop. Additionally, the workarround (disable fast start) caused a new problem: the fingerprint reader fails and I have to use PIN / Password to login.
