I did not ask for this feature, I didn't even intentionally update my pc and while I am glad that I seem to have successfully uninstalled it, I am infuriated that it was installed without my knowledge nor consent. Generative AI is technology I personally believe to be genuinely evil and not something I would interact with willingly under any circumstances. Knowing that this feature is irremovable in win11 is the final excuse I need never to install it. If any Microsoft exec cares please burn down all of your AI infrastructure and reassign all those staff, it is a waste of money, talent, time and human energy. Please do not re-install Copilot in the next update, please.

No, you don't get it. It's no secret to anyone who reads that Copilot is being installed on Windows PCs. This isn't news.
Microsoft has been very forthcoming about this. You just don't like Copilot, and disabling the app or uninstalling it isn't good enough for you.
Microsoft did not inform me that copilot would be installed what makes you think we spend our time on computer websites reading what Microsoft intends to interfere with? If they were upfront, they would have given us the option before updating

Tell me how is this any different to viruses being installed on my computer, anything installed without my consent I consider to be malware or a virus.

You are trying to put a spin on it by saying "it's not an addition, it's Windows" That is just semantics and you know it. You might as well have saved your energy and our anger by simply saying that it was it was put there whether we asked for it or not. That would have been more honest.

In addition, Microsoft Edge, Notepad, Paint, the OneDrive app, BitLocker, PhoneLink, Windows Defender, Maps, Paint, Photos, Bluetooth, Task Scheduler, User Account Control, CHKDSK, Snipping Tool, Windows Update, Narrator, Outlook, Dynamic Lighting, Windows Media Player, Night light ... all the many thousands of parts of Windows were all put there whether you asked for them or not.
